There is no spelling homework for this week. The students should continue to read for at least 25 mins. Our book report is due on the 30. That's next Monday!
For math we are learning how to make circle graphs by finding percents of a 360 deg. Then use a protractor to make the pie pieces. They have one problem to do for homework. Which will take them quite a while due to the computation. They can use a calculator.

First of, make sure your percentages all add up to 100%. If not then go back and look at the fractions you wrote down. The part over the entire sum of each category.
ReplyDeleteIf your percentages all add up to 100% then you need to just multiply each one of those by 360 degrees. That will tell you how many degrees each pie piece should be. Then just be sure to use your protractor correctly.
Let me know if this doesn't work for you.
